Karon Wilson West, age 57 of Malvern, died Tuesday, May 22, 2018. She was born in Malvern on May 10, 1961 to the late Curtis Wilson and Marjorie Brown Wilson. Reared and educated in Prattsville, she was the widow of the late Phillip West, to whom she was married on August 26, 1994. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2016. Karon was a Christian
She is survived by her daughter, Amy Christian and her husband, Will, of Jacksonville, Arkansas; a son, Patrick West and his wife, Destiny of Malvern; two sisters, Carolyn Freeman and her husband Michael of Malvern, and Sharon Wilson of Sheridan; four brothers, George Wilson of Prattsville, Chuck Wilson (Nelda) of Hot Springs, James Curtis Wilson (Juanita) of Malvern, and Eddie Wilson (Marilyn) of Sheridan; and by two grandchildren, Desiree Williams and Lyric West.
Karon was also preceded in death by a brother, Willie Wilson.
The family will receive friends at J. A. Funk Funeral Home on Friday evening from five until seven o’clock.
The funeral will be on Saturday afternoon, May 26, 2018 at one o’clock in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Bryan West officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Cemetery in Hot Springs.
Pallbearers are: Patrick West, Will Christian, Mike Young, Sr., Mike Young, Jr., Michael Freeman, and Travis Freeman.
