Obituary

Anna Margaret Hoobler, age 90, of Malvern, and formerly of De Queen and North Little Rock , died Sunday in the Hot Spring County Medical Center. Born in Lockesburg , Arkansas on November 5, 1918 to the late Eddie Crawford and Ala May Lowery Corley, she was a retired beautician, homemaker, and received her early education in De Queen, graduating from De Queen High School in 1938. She subsequently graduated from Palmer's Beauty School . Mrs. Hoobler was a member of AARP and was a 55member of the Holly Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Grannis , Arkansas . She was reared and + year member of the Florencoed2003. She was the widow of the late Henry Slocum, who died in 1969, and the late Carl Hoobler.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law Frances and W. S. Cagle of Malvern, Marjorie Ann and Jack Montgomery of North Little Rock, a step-son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Lorna Hoobler of Mena, Arkansas; grandchildren, Cheryl Bunch (Pat), James Cagle (Angela), Dave Henderson, Steven Hoobler, Lonnie Joe Hoobler, and Tammy Hoobler; and great-grandchildren, James Wesley Vandergriff, Amy Vandergriff, Nathaniel Cagle, and Kristen Cagle. Graveside service will be held on Thursday afternoon, April 30, 2009 at two o'clock, in the Arkansas Memorial Gardens cemetery, 8507 Old Jacksonville Highway in North Little Rock with Brother Ed Walter officiating.
