Annie Belle Arnold, age 95, formerly of Malvern, died Wednesday in Quitman, Georgia. She had moved there five years ago to be near her family. Annie Belle was born in Malvern on August 20, 1912 to the late William and Annie Morrison Collie. Reared and educated in Malvern, she was a homemaker and the widow of the late J. Annie Belle was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church, and had served on numerous boards and committees there. Sisterhood Chapter BC, Malvern, serving four times as president.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Ann and Terry Porter of Hahira, Georgia; by a granddaughter, Melissa Porter of Atlanta, Georgia; by two grandsons and their wives, Allen and Cristina Porter of Jacksonville, Florida, and Mark and Brandi Porter of Hahira; and by a great-granddaughter, Aubrie Porter, of Hahira.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday afternoon, December 15, 2007, at two o'clock, in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church, Malvern, with the Reverend J. Stephen Wingo officiating. Interment will follow in Rockport Cemetery under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends in the church's Wesleyan Room one hour prior to service time.
