Armagene Green, age 91 of Malvern, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 6, 2024. She was born at home on December 17, 1932 in the Crossroads community, south of Sheridan, Arkansas, to the late Carl Albert Carr and Eula Pumphrey Carr.  Her family moved to Malvern when she was a child.  Reared and educated here, she graduated from Malvern High School in 1950.  Armagene was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved reading, shopping, and visiting with friends. She found the most joy in her family.  Armagene loved to cook and have family meals, especially on Sundays. She worked as a bookkeeper at Malvern's Food Center. Armagene was the widow of the late Clifford E. Green, her husband of 63 years, to whom she was married on April 17, 1951.  He preceded her in death on August 29, 2014.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clifton Carr and Carl Carr.

She is survived by her children, Mike Green of Malvern, and Terry Green (LaDonna) of Lake Charles, Louisiana; two grandchildren, Brandon Green (Mandy) of Malvern, and Brittani Brooks (Jeremy) of Little Rock; and five great-grandchildren, Macey Green, Jace Green, Emma Green, Lillian Brooks and Caleb Brooks.

Her funeral will be held in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., with Brother Carroll Koons officiating.  Interment will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, November 8, 2024, from five until seven o'clock.

Pallbearers will be Jace Green, Caleb Brooks, Jeremy Brooks, Brandon Green, Seth Lowe, and Joel Kendrick.
