Audrey Loraine Smith, age 87, of Malvern, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2026, in Hot Springs. She was born on June 6, 1939, in Des Moines, Iowa, to the late Glen M. Fleming and Margarite Butterfield Fleming. Raised and educated in Iowa, she later made her home in this area for more than 30 years.

Audrey was a devoted homemaker and the beloved wife of the late Frank Smith. The two were married on September 24, 1971, and shared many years together until his passing on May 12, 2021.

On April 10, 1973, Audrey was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she dedicated herself to sharing Bible teachings and following the example of Jesus Christ by helping others learn about Jehovah God and His Kingdom. She especially cherished the Bible’s promise of a future free from death, sickness, sorrow, and pain, when Jehovah will “wipe out every tear.” (Rev 21: 3, 4) Sharing this hope with others brought her deep joy and fulfillment.

She is survived by her two sisters, Darlene Young and Glenice Knutson; three nephews, Richard Gallup (Darlene), Michael Knutson (Kathy), and Tim Knutson (Sonja); and three nieces, Crystal Walters, Collette Stivarius (Rob), and Carla Brown (Wayne).

In addition to her husband, Audrey was preceded in death by her grandson Gregory Smith, daughter Rhonda Staley and her sister, Ila Bolson.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 609 Collie Road, Malvern, Arkansas 72104.
