Beatrice W. Head, age 95 of Malvern, died Monday, November 21, 2016 in Arkadelphia. She was born in Delhi, Louisiana on September 15, 1921 to the late William Williams and Carrie Mae Shoemaker Williams. Reared and receiving her early education in Louisiana, she had been a resident of this area since 1938. Bea became an LPTN and practiced nursing for nearly 20 years. She was a doting grandmother and loved to cook for her family. Many of her friends enjoyed the beautiful quilts Bea made for them. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. Bea was the widow of the late Barney Head, to whom she was married in January of 1981. He preceded her in death in 2014.

She is survived by her children, Stanley Beck and his wife, Jackie, of Glenwood, Marie Milam, and Louise and her husband, Bob McMullen, all of Malvern; eight grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Buddy Williams, Tommy Williams, and Herbert Williams; and a sister, Alice Meziere.

Bea was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Ellis, a grandchild, Ferrell Greeno, and by six siblings.

Her funeral will be on Wednesday afternoon, November 23, 2016, at two o'clock, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Bob McMullen officiating. Interment will follow in Rockport Memorial Gardens. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at one o'clock.

Pallbearers are: Joe Meziere, Mike Meziere, Ashley House, Curtis Greeno, Billy Beck, and Warren Spillman.
