Betty Lafond-Simmons, age 92 of Royal, Arkansas, died Friday, July 23, 2021, in Hot Springs.  She was born on February 21, 1929, in Bastrop, Louisiana to the late Homer Anthony White and Berta Evans White.  Reared and educated in Little Rock, she was a homemaker and a member of the Glory Barn Church in Hot Springs.

She is survived by three children, Mary Elizabeth Thompson and her husband, Christopher of Virginia; Robert Lafond, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Lonsdale; and Cynthia Ann Rye of North Little Rock; five grandchildren, Robert Lafond, III, Kristen Pappas, Stephanie E. Thompson, Christopher Thompson (Erin), and Roberta L. Wrighten (Christopher).

Mrs. Simmons was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Lafond, and by two brothers, Gene White, and Lewis White.

There will be no public services at this time.
