Obituary

Betty Louise Harrington, age 79, of the Social Hill Community, died Friday, May 2, 2008 at her home. She was born on May 21, 1928, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late George O. and Louise Cunningham McCauley. Reared and educated in New Hampshire, she was a Licensed Practical Nurse. During her career she worked on numerous military bases taking care of the sick and wounded. Also a homemaker, she was mother to 14 children. Mrs. Harrington had been a resident of Hot Spring County since 1966 and attended Donaldson Missionary Baptist Church. She was the wife of Harold Harrington, to whom she was married on November 7, 1960.

Her survivors include her husband, Harold, of the home; her children, Steve and his wife Kathy Blodgett of Bismarck, David and his wife Kathy Mattingly of Donaldson, Georgie Mattingly and Robin Ray of Eureka Springs, Melody and her husband Richard Phillips of Bismarck, Harold Harrington, Jr. of Swink, Oklahoma, Larry Mattingly of Mannford, Oklahoma, Helen Johnson and her husband Steve of Sperry, Oklahoma, Ellen Del Sordo and husband Mike of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Phyllis Riddle and husband Bruce of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, daughter-in-law, Carolyn Harrington of Swink, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Duane and Aaron Alexander, Christy Welch, Wayne, Jacob, Jamie, Cassaundra, and Jason Harrington, Kim Cooper, Lance and Aaron Mattingly, Sara Gardner, Alicia McClard, Justin and Marissa Blodgett, Amanda and Jeremy Patrick, and Kayln Kemp; great-grandchildren, Ashley, A. J., Meya, and Ian Alexander, Chelsea and Jonathan Welch, Hannah, Shelley, Bradley, (Little) Jacob, and Morgan Harrington; Cassidy and Alivia McClard; Addyson Blodgett, Lily Howell, Corbin Etris, Cameron and Ethan Mattingly, and Makayla Gardner.

She was also preceded in death by four sons, Bobby and Billy Harold "Buster" Harrington, Charlie Blodgett, Jerry Mattingly, by a daughter, Beverly Alexander, by two daughters-in-law, Lou Mattingly and Donna Harrington.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008, at two o'clock in the afternoon, in the Donaldson Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Ronnie Hardin officiating, and under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
