Betty Sue Baker O'Neal, age 72 of Malvern, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at her home. She was born on October 24, 1943 in Batesville, Arkansas to the late Kermit Baker and Marie Hix Baker. Reared and receiving her early education in Malvern, she attended Bryan Business College, UALR, and Henderson State University. Betty had been a legal secretary, and later in life, became a private care provider. She was a member of the Leola United Methodist Church. Betty loved listening to music, reading, and playing with her dog.

She is survived by her son, Harvey Craig O'Neal, Jr. and his wife Odessa; a brother, Kermit Nathan "Butch" Baker and his wife Susan; three grandchildren, Erica Ward, Dawn Kidder, and Kelly Duke; four great-grandchildren; two nephews, Brett and Nate Baker; her step-mother, Burta Nutt-Baker; numerous close friends, and her loving dog, Traci.

Her funeral will be on Tuesday afternoon, May 17, 2016 at two o'clock in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother John Walters officiating. Interment will follow in Lono Cemetery.

A visitation will precede the service, beginning at one o'clock.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Salvation Army, or local animal shelters.
