Brenda Kay Scholes, age 48 of Malvern, died Sunday, January 27, 2013 in Hot Springs. She was born in Malvern on October 15, 1964 to Mary Scott Scholes and the late Robert Scholes. Reared and educated in Malvern, she was a Baptist. Brenda had worked as a C. N. A. at local nursing homes for a number of years, and also worked in the deli at Brookshire's.

She is survived by her children, Kerry Scholes of Hot Springs, Jonathon Scholes and his wife, Sara, of Malvern, and Danielle Scholes, also of Malvern; her mother, Mary Scholes of Malvern; a brother, Freeman Scholes of Malvern; two sisters, Lisa Scholes of Malvern, and Bobbie Ross of Donaldson; and a granddaughter, Zylah Scholes of Malvern.

Her funeral service will be Thursday afternoon, January 31, 2013 at two o'clock in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.

Pallbearers are George Maner, Randy Caldwell, Glenn Caldwell, Mike Caldwell, Aaron Caldwell, and Kevin Chastain.

Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from six until eight o'clock at the mortuary.

The family will be at 2662 Sand Road in Malvern.
