Candie LeShay Jewett, age 50 of Mabelvale, died Thursday, July 4, 2024 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock.  She was born on February 16, 1974 in Malvern, Arkansas to the late William Wilson and Patsy Simpson Wilson. She was reared and received her early education in Malvern and Glen Rose.  Candie also attended the Arkansas School for the Blind in Little Rock, where she made many lifelong friends, and learned that despite having a disability, one could lead a positive and fulfilling life   She loved her family and was a role model to them.

Candie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Destani Jewett and Peter Hill of Little Rock; a sister, Linda Wilson Richard of Poyen, a brother, Kenneth Wilson of Malvern; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Penny Wilson Whitlock.

A memorial service will be held at two o'clock Friday afternoon, July 12, 2024, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.  A visitation for friends and family will follow the service.
