Carolyn Ann McClenahan, age 74 of Malvern, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in Pine Bluff. She was born on August 5, 1950 in Malvern to the late Odie Herman Pearson and Johnnie Rae Crites Pearson.  Reared and educated in Malvern, she lived in Hot Springs for 33 years prior to moving back here, and becoming a licensed massage therapist.  Carolyn was the wife of Darrell McClenahan, to whom she was married in July, 1990.  She was a good conversationalist, and enjoyed meeting and talking to people.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Darrell; her son, Marty Nix and his wife, Marla; grandchildren, Sable Nix, Devon Nix, Dylan Sorenson, Sasha Sorenson, and Diamond Porterfield; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Allen, Brooklynne Porterfield, Kyle Porterfield, Liam Pettit, Cohen Pettit, Zander Sorenson, Nova Nix, and Kyler Sorenson.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jayna Nix, three sisters, Johnnie Ruth McDade, Reda Sue Watts, and Brenda Key.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday afternoon, January 25, 2025, at 2:00 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Doug Brooks officiating.
