Carroll Angela Gilliam, age 58 of Hot Springs and formerly of Malvern, died March 28, 2018 in Hot Springs. She was born on September 29, 1959 in Hot Springs to the late William Carroll Gilliam, Jr. and Rosamond Logan Gilliam. Reared and receiving her early education in Malvern, she was a 1977 graduate of Malvern High School. She later attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Carroll had worked for Tipton and Hurst Florist in Little Rock, and in her father's law office in Malvern. She was a Catholic.
Carroll is survived by her son, Edward William Gilliam of Little Rock; sisters, Melissa Gilliam Ward and her husband Darrell of Little Rock, and Rita Edwards and her husband Keenan of Malvern; a sister-in-law, Nancy Gilliam of Lafayette, Louisiana; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Ruby Lambert Gilliam; three brothers, Matthew Gilliam, W. C. Gilliam, III, and Alan Scott Brimer; and two sisters, Mary Evalee Gilliam and Isabel Gilliam.
A visitation will be held on Monday afternoon, April 2, 2018, at five o'clock in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home, followed by a Rosary Service at six o'clock.
Memorial service will be on Tuesday morning, April 3, 2018 at eleven o'clock in the funeral home chapel. Interment of her ashes will follow in Tranquil Cemetery in Hot Springs.
