Charlene Oliver Davidson, age 84 of Hope, Arkansas, died Tuesday evening, November 18, 2025, in Little Rock. This beautiful little redhead was born on March 31, 1941 in Camden, Arkansas, to the late Charlie Allen Oliver and Jennie Laura Sanders Oliver. Reared and receiving her early education in Hampton, Arkansas, she later earned her nursing degree in St. Louis, becoming a Registered Nurse. Charlene worked in the healthcare industry for over 60 years. In the early 1960's she was employed at the Hot Spring County Memorial Hospital, where her compassion and care for her patients was always evident. She met and fell in love with a local boy, Bobby Davidson, and they were married on January 27, 1968 in El Dorado, Arkansas. Charlene had been a resident of Hope, Arkansas, since 1995. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby, of the home; by two sons, Greg Davidson of Hampton, Arkansas, and Brian Davidson (Yuko) of Elk Grove Village, Illinois; by two brothers, Allen Oliver (Shirley) of Hillsboro, Missouri, and Dwain Oliver of Ft. Worth, Texas; by two grandchildren, Andrew (Andy) and Eric Davidson; and by several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday afternoon, November 22, 2025, at 2:00, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Ronnie Freeman officiating. A visitation will precede the service by one hour, beginning at 1:00. Interment will follow the service in Jones Cemetery at Brown Springs under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
