Charles Weldon Cooper, age 57 of Malvern, died Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at his residence. He was born in Malvern on January 16, 1957 to the late James Weldon Cooper and Rose Smith Cooper. Reared and receiving his early education in Malvern, he graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a mechanical engineering degree. Charles Had worked for Entergy. As a child and youth, he grew up a member of First Baptist Church in Malvern. Charles was a devoted, loving, caring, and patient father, brother, and son. He was an avid reader, and knew something about everything.

He is survived by his children, Emily Cooper, a student at UCA in Conway, Ashley Cooper and Ryan Cooper, both of Benton; his sisters, Carol Cooper Baker of Yorktown, Virginia, and Patricia Lackey of Sanger, Texas; his nieces and nephews, and many friends.

The family will receive friends at J. A. Funk Funeral Home on Friday, October 31, 2014 from five until seven o'clock in the evening.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday morning at 9:30 in the funeral home chapel with Brother David Cash officiating.
