Charles W. Cox, age 77 of Malvern, died Monday, January 5, 2015. He was born in Willow, Arkansas on January 27, 1937 to the late Walter Cox and Iona Jones Cox. Reared and receiving his early education in Carthage, Arkansas, he was a longtime resident of Malvern. A former parts manager for Grady Jones, Charles was a past member of the North Little Rock Jaycees. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church
He is survived by a son, Alan Cox of North Little Rock; by a daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Doug Smith of Mabelvale; by four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Charles was also preceded in death by a brother, William (Billy) Cox, and a sister, Betty Jo Cox Lyons.
Graveside service will be at one o'clock Saturday afternoon, January 10, 2015 at the Cypress Cemetery in Willow, with Reverend Dooley Fowler officiating.
The family expresses their grateful appreciation to the administration and staff of Malvern Nursing Home for the care they gave Mr. Cox during his years of residency.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1310 E. Mill Street, Malvern, AR 72104.
