Christopher Lee Hankins, age 43 of Benton, died Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Hot Springs.  He was born on October 8, 1978 in Moline, Illinois to Laurie Redell Hankins and the late Cecil Wayne Hankins.  Reared and educated in Saline County, he currently worked for Amazon.  Chris loved all sports.  He had umpired for local Little League teams, which he immensley enjoyed. He was an avid fisherman, loved to go bowling, was an expert griller, and just an all-around outdoorsman.  He was baptized in the Church of Christ.  Chris was his Grandpa Redell's sidekick.  They were inseparable and Chris had his initials tatooed on his knuckles!

He is survived by a son, Ethan Lane Hankins of Glenwood, by his mother, Laurie Hankins of Benton, and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many out-of-state aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many close friends.

He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Delbert Redell and Audrey Maxine Schultz Redell, and his paternal grandparents, Cecil R. Hankins and Dorothy Hankins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
