Claude Randolph Keenom age 78 of Rolla, died Monday, February 19, 2018 at his home. He was born in Walnut Valley, Arkansas on September 5, 1939 to the late Walter Leonard Keenom and Nettie Virginia Denney Keenom. He was a graduate of Mt Pine High School. Mr. Keenom was a Missionary Baptist and a member of the Branum Deer Hunting Club. He devoted 35 years of his working life to the City of Malvern: 20 years at the Malvern Fire Department, where he served as Assistant Chief, and 15 years at the Malvern Street Department. He was also a self employed roofing contractor for 20 years, and worked for Housley Roofing Company in Hot Springs for seven years.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Wright Keenom, to whom he was married on November 23, 1961; by two daughters, Sarah Joann Riggin (Dale) of Rolla, and Nancy Elizabeth Fendley of Hot Springs; by three grandsons, Chris Randolph Keenom, Cory Fendley, and Tyler Riggin; twin great-grandsons, Anthony and Adrien Keenom; 2 great-granddaughters, Alydia Keenom and Aubree Keenom; three sisters, Corene Norris, Mary Cassady, and Dollie Wright; a brother, Ted Keenom (Margaret); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Keenom was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Ayden Keenom, three brothers, Roy, Clayton, and Junior Keenom, and three sisters, Eulean Chitwood, Ruth Matuszak, and Ruby Shellman.

A visitation will be held from five until seven o'clock Wednesday evening at J. A. Funk Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at eleven o'clock Thursday morning, February 22, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Brother Donis Smead officiating. An Honor Guard from the Malvern Fire Department will stand post and serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be his three grandsons, Chris Keenom, Cory Fendley, and Tyler Riggin, and Ronnie Brandon, Kenny Brandon, Bobby Brandon, Lee Brandon, Robin Hill, and Dewayne Bane.

Interment will follow in Lono Cemetery.

Memorials may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
