Delmus E. Wright, Sr., age 82 of Malvern, died Saturday, October 15, 2016 in Hot Springs after a brief illness. He was born in Pine Valley, Oklahoma on January 3, 1934 to the late Grady Wright and Ethel Taylor Wright. Reared and educated in Oklahoma, he was retired from the United States Air Force. During his military career, he had lived in many places around the world. Delmus was a member of the North Malvern Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Robinson Wright, to whom he was married on April 18, 2008; by his son, Delmus Eugene Wright, Jr. of Malvern; a brother, Tommy Wright and his wife, Hattie, of Malvern; sister-in-law, Linda Sutherlund of Malvern; seven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Delmus was also preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Corene Coates Wright; by three daughters, Patsy Wright Davis, Diane Talbot, and Phyllis Fedric.

His funeral will begin at eleven o'clock Wednesday morning, October 19, 2016 in the sanctuary of North Malvern Assembly of God Church with Brothers Keith Pennington, Paul Grigsby, Roger Wall, and Glenn McClung officiating.

A visitation at the church will precede the service on Wednesday by one hour, beginning at ten o'clock.

Pallbearers are: Tommy Wright, Terryl Wright, Daryl Ray, Matt Ray, Gary Ray, Bryan Fuesling and Joe Langley.

Honorary pallbearers are: Colton Abbott, Jeremy Abbott, Adam Franklin, and Dr. Shawn Purifoy.

Interment will follow in Ouachita Cemetery with Full Military Honors provided by the Little Rock Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Memorials are requested to North Malvern Assembly of God Church.
