Obituary

Dennis Allen Herrington, aged 61 of Malvern, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on January 20, 1956 to the late Joe D. Herrington and Wilma Hamilton. Reared and educated in Texas and Arkansas, he had been a resident of Malvern since 1977. He was a faithful member and attendee, when his health permitted, of Anchor Baptist Church at Brown Springs. Dennis was a member of the Moose Lodge, loved being outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed being in his shop reloading bullets, woodworking, and other handyman activities. For a number of years he was a foreman with Acme Brick.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Williams Herrington, to whom he was married on January 14, 1977; by three daughters, Vanessa Briner and her husband, Dylan of Malvern; Staci Elizabeth Herrington of Malvern; and Audrey Lee Herrington of San Diego, California; four grandchildren, Jenna and Jada Joynt, Sophie Roark, and Elizabeth Briner; and by two sisters, Alene Penner and her husband, Dan, and Janet Zulpo, all of Wye Mountain.

Dennis was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Sybil Herrington, brother-in-law, Freddie Zulpo, and a brother, Joe D. Herrington, Jr.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

Honorary pallbearers are: Geno Plato, Joe Spence, Dylan Briner, Blair Joynt, Rusty Voss, Cole Dugan, David Fears, David Williams, Dan Penner and Robbie Heath.

Special thanks go to his loving caregivers throughout the years: Dr. Ray Bollen, Dr. Thomas Kiser, Dr. Benny Green, Dr. Nancy Rector, staff of LTAC Floor, Baptist Med. Center, Little Rock, and Nikki Kirkpatrick, his longtime home health nurse.
