DeWayne "Butch" or "Jaybird" Voss, age 77 of Malvern, died Friday, July 28, 2023, in Hot Springs.  He was born on September 19, 1945, in Malvern to the late Wallace Voss and Emogene Wiley Voss.  Reared and educated in Malvern, he graduated MHS with the Class of 1963.  Butch was a Southern Baptist.  He worked for Reynolds Metals, where he had been a crane operator for many years.  Butch was the widower of the late Lori Nix Voss, to whom he was married on May 23, 1978.  She preceded him in death on December 11, 2022.

He is survived by his son, Jacob Voss of Malvern; and by two grandsons, Aiden and Kai Voss.

Butch was also preceded in death by a sister, Joan Voss.

There will be no services.  Memorials in Butch's name are requested to any local animal shelter/rescue organization.
