Don Gore, age 68 of Malvern, died Sunday, March 19, 2017 in Hot Springs. He was born in Malvern on December 4, 1948 to the late Garland Gore and Faye Buck Gore. Reared and educated here, he was a 1967 graduate of Malvern High School. As a youngster, Don delivered papers for the Malvern Daily Record. Don joined the United States Navy and did two tours in Viet Nam. His working years included 29 years with Pactive, three years of HVAC with Ray Shain, and nine years with Falcon Jet in Little Rock. Don was an avid bow hunter and loved to fish. He was a Missionary Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Barrett Gore, to whom he was married on February 14, 1970 at St. Paul United Methodist Church; his son, Matt Gore and his wife Brenda of Jonesboro; his daughter, Lori Gore Hughes and her husband Phillip of Malvern; four grandchildren, Jacob and Dylan Gore, and Zoey and Phoebe Hughes; and his sister, Bonnie Gore Turner and her husband Carl of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at two o'clock Thursday afternoon, March 23, 2017 in the Oak Ridge Cemetery with Reverend Troy Cate officiating, and under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.

The family will be at their residence.
