Obituary

Don Harold Hicks, age 86 of Nashville, Arkansas, and formerly of Malvern, died Friday, August 5, 2016 in Nashville. He was born on July 29, 1930 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Benjamin Franklin and Autie Kinsey Hicks. He was a retired restaurant retailer and a Navy veteran. Don was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nashville. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish, to hunt, and to play golf. A longtime resident of Malvern, he owned Don's Studio and was a past president of the Arkansas Photographers Association.

His survivors include a son, Rick and his wife Ann Hicks of Nashville; a daughter, Donna and her husband Jim Erickson of Recede, California; grandchildren, Courtney Hicks, Chase Hicks, and Casey and her husband Drew Squires; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Don was also preceded in death by his wife, Wanda; his son, Blake; his grandson, Alex Hicks; and by eight brothers and sisters.

Memorial services will be held on Monday afternoon, August 8, 2016 at two o'clock in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother David Blase officiating.

A visitation will follow the service.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Donald Tanner, Mike Burris, Tommy Stiles, W. J. Brumley, Mike Graves, Larry Frohnappel, Larry Teague, Rick Fisher and Elgin Hamner.
