Donald E. Scott, age 59 of Hot Springs, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at his home. He was born on August 23, 1950 in Wilson to Juanita Zills Scott and the late Marvin Scott. Reared and receiving his early educated in Wilson, he received his associate degree in communications while in the armed forces. Mr. Scott was a retired Master Sergeant, E7, United States Air Force, where he specialized in telecommunications. He was fluent in German, Korean, and Vietnamese. An avid coin collector, he had lived in Hot Springs since 1991.

His survivors include: two sons, David Scott and Bryen Scott-Kiddy of Hot Springs; a daughter, Amanda Abel of Hot Springs; his mother, Juanita Zills Scott of Lepanto, Arkansas; three brothers, Steve Scott of Paragould, Ronald Scott of olive Branch, Mississippi, and Fairley Scott of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Genevieve, Ethan, James, and Anne-Marie Abel.

Mr. Scott was also preceded in death by a sister, Cathy Scott and the mother of his children, Anna Scott Thomas.

Graveside service with military honors will be in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, North Little Rock, on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at one o'clock in the afternoon. Arrangements are under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home of Malvern.
