Edward H. Cruse, age 80, of Malvern, died Friday afternoon, September 21, 2007 in Little Rock. He was born in Bradley County, Arkansas on January 30, 1927 to the late Doyle Hiram and Irene Henderson Cruse. Reared and educated in Calhoun County, Arkansas, he had been a resident of Malvern since moving here after retiring in 1982. Mr. Cruse was a welder and machinist for a manufacturing company in Houston, Texas for many years. He was a member of Christ Assembly Full Gospel Church in Malvern. Mr. Cruse was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to tell stories. He was also a United States Navy Veteran. Mr. Cruse was the husband of the former Imogene V. McMahan, to whom he was married in February of 1948.

His survivors include his wife, Imogene Cruse of Malvern; one sister, Melba Robinson of Malvern; and by numerous nephews and nieces.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucile McMahan, and two brothers, Felton and Cecil (Jack) Cruse.

The funeral will be held at two o'clock Sunday afternoon, September 23, 2007 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother David Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Social Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Troy Robinson, Ricky Robinson, Tommy Cruse, Troy Cruse, Michael Shepard, Gary Davis, Mike Davis, and Randy Davis.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Valorie Burrow, Lorrie Cerrone, Kim Collins, Tammy Mohan, Christi Pipkin, and Regina Shepard.

A visitation will be held on Saturday evening from five until seven o'clock at the mortuary.

The family will be at the home of Melba Robinson, 275 Loop 270, Malvern.
