Elizabeth Ann Smith, age 85 of Malvern, died Saturday evening, July 27, 2025 in Little Rock.  She was  born in Malvern on January 10, 1940 to the late Frank Gross and Ila Mae Atkinson Gross.  Reared and educated in Malvern, she had worked at the Malvern Daily Record for a number of years, and was a caregiver for many people in her later years.  Elizabeth attended The Pentecostal Church in Malvern.  She was the widow of the late Buddy Smith.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Natalie Neel and Jesse Ray Neel; great-grandchildren, Ashton and Koleton Neel, Ayla and Chase McGlaughlin; great-great-granddaughter, Emryn Blake; and by her adopted grandchildren and caregivers, April and Eddie Fisher.

Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Neel, and by siblings, Myrna, Laura, Helen, and Dale Alan.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 Saturday morning, August 2, 2025, in the Cypress Cemetery at Willow, Arkansas, with Pastor Tim Ryan officiating and under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Pentecostal Church, 22906 Hwy 67, Malvern, Arkansas 72104.
