Emogene Grissom Dugan, age 97 of Malvern, died Friday, January 21, 2022 at Encore Healthcare and Rehab.  She was born on June 4, 1924 in Dalark, Arkansas (Dallas County), to the late Horace E. Tucker and Ada Grace Kilmer Tucker.  Reared and educated in the Gourdneck Community, she graduated from Magnet Cove High School.  Emogene was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, the Eastern Star, and the Arkansas Realtors Assocication's Million Dollar Club.  She began selling real estate in 1974, and probably came close to selling as much or more real estate in this area than any other agent.  She would show homes after hours and on weekends, and more times than not, made the sale.  Emogene reluctantly retired at age 85.  Her first husband and the father of her children, Sylvester Grissom, Jr. preceded her in death in 1971.  She later married local businessman Bob Dugan.  He preceded her in death in 1997.

She is survived by her children, Jimmy Grissom and his wife, Janet of Monticello, and Terri Grissom Williamson (Ernie Jackson) of Pearcy; by five grandchildren: Jason Grissom (Paige), Jeremy Grissom (Lindsay), Jeff Grissom (Maggie), Matt Williamson (Jennifer), and Mallory Clark (Will); and by 14 great-grandchildren.

Emogene was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan Brett Grissom; and by two sisters, Maxine Tillery and Faye Bell.

A visitation will begin at one o'clock Monday afternoon, January 24, 2022, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at two o'clock.  Brother Eli Maynard and Brother Carroll Koon will officiate.  Interment will be in Harp Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Jason Grissom, Jeremy Grissom, Jeff Grissom, Andrew Grissom, Matt Williamson, and Will Clark.
