Ernest Joseph Campos, Jr. of Malvern, died Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at his home. He was born on December 7, 1937 in Port Lavaca, Texas to the late Ernest J. Campos, Sr. and Pauline Ochoa Campos. Reared and educated in Texas, he joined the United States Marine Corps in 1956. He retired as a Master Sergeant in 1976. Mr. Campos was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Hot Springs.

He is survived by his sons, Eric Campos (Pat) of Dallas, Texas, and Chris Campos (Sadie) of Palm Springs, California; his daughters, Annette Curry (Stephen) of Little Rock, and Terry Jo Tillis (Rick) of Tennessee; the mother of his children, Jean Harp Campos of Malvern; by a brother, Walter Campos of Port Lavaca, Texas, a sister, Eva Lozano (Al) of Allen, Texas; by nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Campos, who died in 2011.

Services with full Military Honors will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock on Friday, March 9, 2018 at one o'clock in the afternoon under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
