Ferdinand Blais went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2023.  He was born on March 22, 1929, in Ottawa, Canada to the late Jean Blais and Pamela Rose Blais.  Reared and educated in Canada, he had been a resident of this area for sixteen years. He was the widower of the late Patsy Land Fite Blais, to whom he was married on August 10, 2009. She preceded him in death on November 19, 2021.  Mr. Blais was a Catholic.  He was an avid golfer, a frequent casino visitor, and a lifetime member of the Elks Club.  For many years, he was a teller at the racetrack, working the $50 dollar window.

Ferd is survived by his stepchildren, Debbie King (Ed), Scott Fite (Lila), Brian Fite (Holly), a stepdaughter-in-law, Jennifer Fite; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and by many friends.

He was also preceded in death by a stepson, Charles Fite.

A visitation will be held in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, beginning at four o'clock in the afternoon.  There will be no funeral service.
