Gary Eugene Bain, age 72 of Newport, Arkansas, died Monday, November 17, 2014 in the Malvern hospital. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 21, 1942 to Ed Bain and the late Sarah Jean Davis Bain. Reared and educated in California and North Little Rock, he worked most of his life in management in the retail grocery business. Gary was a Baptist by denomination, and was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his father, Ed Bain of Malvern; two daughters, Melissa George and DeeBee Riley, both of Benton; two brothers, Thomas Bain of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Jerry Bain of Benton; several grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at ten o'clock on Thursday morning, November 20, 2014 in the Taylor Cemetery at Leola, Arkansas with Brother Arlis East officiating and under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
