Gayla Wright age 79, of Traskwood, passed away Tuesday June 30th surrounded by loved ones. She was born October 29, 1946 in Benton Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry Doddridge Jr and Evelyn Elmore Doddridge of Traskwood and Granville Heflin of Caddo Valley, her brother Johnny Doddridge and husband Jack Wright both of Traskwood.

She is survived by daughters Tammy Hicks of Tull, Carol Lambert (Michael) of Glen Rose, Sherri Ausley of Bonnerdale and son Jerry Landreth (Claire) of Traskwood. Two brothers Dan Doddridge (Naomi) and Jim Doddridge (Cheryl) and sister-in-law Judy Doddridge, all of Traskwood; 12 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her special four-legged friend, Fred.

Gayla was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. A very talented seamstress and decorator, Gayla spent a lifetime creating beautiful things. She also had a green thumb and spent countless hours tending her flowers and taking care of her yard.

A graveside service will be held at Traskwood Cemetery on July 18th at 10:00 a.m. with Jim Doddridge and Dustin Doddridge officiating, and under the direction of J. A. Funk Funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Saline County Humane Society.
