Gladys Marie Woodell, age 72 of Malvern, died Saturday, June 4, 2016. She was born on June 15, 1943 in Willits, California to the late Elmer Powell and Lenora Zager Powell. Reared and educated in California, she had lived in Malvern for 25 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Tabernacle of Praises.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Woodell of Malvern; by nine children, Dina and Carolyn of Redding, California; Leann Spencer Hall of Texarkana, Texas, Lora Lewis of Mt. View, Arkansas, David Miller (Rosie) of White Hall, Arkansas; Connie Combs (Bobby) of Bossier City, Louisiana, Ronda Raddle (Tommy) and Brenda Sanders, all of Pine Bluff, and Paul Woodell of Shreveport, Louisiana; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; numerous brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Woodell was also preceded in death by two children, Michelle Grice and William Dean Gilbert, and by three brothers, Eddie, George, and David Powell.

Her funeral will be at eleven o'clock Wednesday morning, June 8, 2016 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother James Woodell officiating. Visitation will follow the service.

Graveside services are scheduled for three o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Rowell Cemetery in Cleveland County.

Pallbearers will be: David Lewis, Charles Anderson, Brad Tingle, Rick Armstrong, John Schutter, and Tommy Raddle.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Misty, Joseph, and Jimmy Lewis.
