Obituary

Gloria Joann Northcutt, age 84 of Little Rock, died Sunday, March 8, 2015 at UAMS. She was born in Steele, Missouri on May 30, 1930 to the late Willard Bomar and Flossie King Bomar. Reared and receiving her early education in Steele, she later attained her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Central Arkansas. She was a minister's wife, and beside bringing up four children of her own, she established and served as director of two children's daycare centers in the six churches which her husband pastored over the course of their marriage. She was the widow of Charles E. Northcutt, an Assembly of God pastor, to whom she was married on February 1, 1948. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2010.

She is survived by her children, Diann Doherty (Paul) of Little Rock, Steve Northcutt (Ann) of Magnolia, Janet Williams of Malvern, and Mark Northcutt (Jeannie) of Athens, Georgia; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Northcutt was also preceded in death by a sister, Noami Grindstaff, and two grandchildren, Tracy and Shane Northcutt.

Her funeral will be ten o'clock Wednesday morning, March 11, 2015 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with her son, Mark Northcutt officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Steele, Missouri.
