Grace Crawford, age 95 of Malvern, died Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Arbor Oaks. She was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma on July 7, 1928, to the late Robert Mahaffey and Cordelia Davis Mahaffey. Reared and educated in Oklahoma, she had been a resident of Malvern since 1961. Grace was a homemaker and the widow of the late Duncan Crawford, to whom she was married on December 5, 1955, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2010. Grace was a member of Keith Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved working in her yard and always kept it immaculately clean. Grace was a longtime patron of the Malvern/Hot Spring County Library and treasured the time she spent there. She also enjoyed the occasional trip to Oaklawn.
She is survived by her children, Kurt Crawford and his wife, Betsy of Malvern; Jimmie Crawford and his wife, Caren of Tucson, Arizona; Laura Tilley (Ron McNamar) of Malvern; Theresa Strobel of Yellville; and Sandra Hutcheson and her husband Talmadge of Orange, Texas; grandchildren, Regan Baker (Donnie), Dylan Briner (Vanessa), Sarah Strobel, Alicia Strobel (Jason), Jennifer Smith, Wade Walters, Rob Puckett (Kerilee); great-grandchildren, Duncan Whitlow (Summer), Hayden Whitlow (Kealy), Brooklyn Baker (fiancé Hunter Hilson), Landon Baker, Elizabeth Briner, Jenna Joynt, Jada Joynt, Sophie Roark, Leland Smith, Stacy Smith, Destiny Walters, Madison Eisenhart (Zack), Kaleb, Levi, and Mirielle Strobel, Hunter Puckett (Leslie), Cale and Heston Puckett; great-great-grandchildren, Blaiklyn Catlett, Elana, Ridge, and Blaze Whitlow, Lily B. Puckett, and Amberee.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Crawford, a daughter, Connie Walters and two siblings, Bonnie Allen and Robert Mahaffey.
A graveside service will be held at two o'clock Monday afternoon, December 18, 2023, at Shadowlawn Cemetery with Brother Jeff Ladd officiating. A visitation will precede the service, beginning at one o'clock, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Arbor Oaks Healthcare for the professionalism and compassion shown to Grace during her residency there.
Memorials are requested to the Malvern/Hot Spring County Library.
