Gregory Duane Blackmon, age 58, died Saturday, December 29, 2007 in the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born on July 1, 1949 in Tucson, Arizona to the late Jesse Lee and Lola Mae Holland Blackmon. Reared and receiving his early education in Arizona, he received an associate degree in computers from Ouachita Technical College. He had worked in OTC's library for the past three years. Early on in his career, Greg became a road musician, his instrument being the guitar. He followed that path of work for a number of years prior to moving to the Malvern area.

He is survived by two daughters, Jessica Blackmon of Carlisle, and Sara Blackmon of Malvern.
