Miss Helen Louise Roark, age 89 of Malvern, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 in the Malvern hospital. She was born in Malvern on May 2, 1924 to the late Fred S. Roark and Hattie Johnson Roark. Miss Roark was a member of First Baptist Church, its Faith Sunday School Class, was a Sunday School teacher of all ages for many years, and worked in the WMU. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. During her working life, she was executive secretary for 25 years to Mr. Zerah Caldwell, a local businessman, and for 17 years, she was Secretary to the President of Ouachita Baptist University, Dr. Daniel Grant.

Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Charles Roark, and one who died in infancy.

She is survived by a number of cousins, and many friends.

Her funeral will be two o'clock Friday afternoon, January 31, 2014 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Dr. Verne Wickliffe officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.

A visitation will precede the service on Friday, beginning at one o'clock.
