Helen Eileen Walker, age 83 of Malvern, died August 18, 2016 in the Arbor Oaks Healthcare and Rehab in Malvern. She was born on March 12, 1933 in Almyra, Arkansas to the late Russell Arnett and Clara Lee Herndon Arnett. Reared and educated in Moro, Arkansas, she worked in Sony's TV plant for 20 years, worked toward her LPN, and later pursued a course of study and became a Certified Nursing Assistant, being able to fulfill her desire to help others. Helen was Pentecostal by denomination. She was the widow of the late William Robert Walker, to whom she was married on January 10, 1948. He preceded her in death in 2001. She had been a resident of Malvern since 2004.
She is survived by two sons, Bobby Gene Walker and his life-partner, Dan Scott of Malvern, and Jr. Walker of Donaldson; son-in-law, Mike Baker of Texas; sister-in-law, Phyllis Walker; her siblings, Russell Arnett of Attica, Kansas, Doris Blodgett of Ratcliff, Arkansas, Louis Arnett of Pine Bluff, Carolyn Lewis of Pine Bluff, Jessie Earl Arnett of Brinkley, Marvin Spears of Heber Springs, and Billy Spears of Hot Springs; 14 grandchildren, and numerous great- and great-great grandchildren; and by special friends, John Yates, Essie Vant, Phyllis Walker, and Judy and Rocky Burkhart.
Helen was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Wayne Walker, daughter, Wilma Baker, daughter-in-law, Reba Walker, granddaughter, Heather Baker, and by two sisters and a brother.
Visitation will be held from six until eight o'clock Sunday evening, August 21, 2016 at the J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
Funeral will be Monday, August 22, at two o'clock in the Gospel Lighthouse in Moro, Arkansas with Brothers Bob Riley and Kevin Rash officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Moro.
Pallbearers will be: Floyd Jr. Walker II, Tyler Walker, Paul Daniel Walker, Hunter Walker, Joey Bowman, and Thad Hudson.
Honorary pallbearers: Russell Arnett, Jessie Earl Arnett, Fernando Perez, Marty Walker, Dewell Walker and Kyle Rash.
