Imogene Gordon, age 80 of Malvern, died Friday, June 14, 2024 in Hot Springs. She was born on August 4, 1943 in Santa Cruz, California to the late Richard T. "Buster" Coburn and Eulean Edgin Coburn. Reared and educated in Hot Springs, she had worked for a number of years at National Rejectors, but was first and foremost a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She earned an Associate's Degree in IT from ASU-Three Rivers. Imogene was a member of the Open Door Community Church in Sherwood.
She is survived by her children, Renee Gordon (Melanie Chancellor) of Malvern; Virginia Pitts (Jacob) of Bonnerdale, Elizabeth Ann Hill (Russell) of Hot Springs, Carl Gordon, I, Dan Gordon (Tina), Roberta Joseph, and Cheryl Grantham, all of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren, Carl Gordon, II, Ashley Missle (Bobby), Mick Hill, Jacob Pitts, Jaden Pitts, Levi Pitts, and Lena Pitts; and by numerous cousins, extended family, and friends.
Imogene was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael Van Gordon and Robert Levi Gordon; a grandson, Chase Mykal Gordon; and by an infant brother, Billie Joe Coburn.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon, July 13, 2024, at two o'clock, with Pastor Randy Eddy-McCain officiating.
