Obituary

Jack L. "Scooter" Gammill, age 49 of Maumelle, died Friday, January 24, 2020 at his home after a brief illness. He was born on February 21, 1970 in Little Rock to Mary Elizabeth Ross Gammill and the late Lewis Gammill.  Reared and educated in Little Rock, he attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  Jack was a computer whiz, and loved anything to do with them.  He helped many businesses and individuals figure the best methods by which to utilize their online presence and day to day operations regarding electronic data.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Maumelle.  For most of his working life, he managed men's clothing stores, and always enjoyed wearing the latest in menswear.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Gammill of Maumelle; three brothers, Mike Hammonds (Carolyn) of Bryant, Joe Torres of Little Rock, and John Gammill (Camille) of Hot Springs; a sister, Pat Crane (Larry) of Little Rock; an uncle, Bill Ross (Virginia) of Garland, Texas; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family extends their gratitude to the staff of Floor 9A at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, and to Arkansas Hospice.

Jack's family will hold a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
