James "Concrete" Andersen, age 65 of Hot Springs , died Wednesday, March 28, 2012, in the National Park Medical Center. He was born in Chicago , Illinois on January 22, 1947 to the late Alfred Alexander Andersen and Doris Sims Andersen. Reared and educated in Chicago , he had been a resident of Hot Springs since the age of 17. He was a millwright and an expert motorcycle mechanic. According to his family, he was the best Dad and greatest man they will ever know.

He is survived by his children, James Andersen (Michelle), Dakota Andersen, Sondra Green (Gerald), Tina Irwin, and Stephanie Andersen, all of Hot Springs; Craig Andersen of Arizona, and Chanda Andersen of North Carolina; a brother, George Andersen; two sisters, Carole Stovall and Lucy Bell (Jim), all of Hot Springs; sister-in-law, Kathryn Andersen of Hot Springs; 10 grandchildren, Morgan and Landon Wright, Dylan and Sydney Keller, Alex and Anna Andersen, Devan Payte, Zecharia, Lauren, and Jonathan Casiano.

Concrete was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Andersen, and a nephew, Shan Stovall.

The family will gather to say goodbye to Concrete at one o'clock Saturday afternoon, March 31, 2012 at J. A. Funk Funeral Home in Malvern.
