Jeanette Wingo Edie, 88 of Malvern, died Tuesday morning, February 12, 2008 in the Arbor Oaks Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Malvern on November 6, 1919 to the late William Albert and Margaret Elizabeth Faulkner Wingo. Reared and educated in Malvern, she held various jobs during her lifetime: she was and attendant for many years in the nursery at First United Methodist Church, was a poll worker during elections, worked at the Hot Spring County Courthouse, and also at the Hot Spring County Library. Jeanette was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she and her late husband, Harry Edie, were married on March 8, 1946. He preceded her in death in May of 2004. She loved to knit and tend to her flower gardens.
Her survivors include two sons: Norman and his wife, Dee Edie, and Lynn and his wife, Mary Ann Edie, all of Malvern; by five grandchildren, Wade and his wife Tish Edie, Stephanie and her husband, L. D. Horn, Ashley and her husband Eddie Lamb, Kyle Edie, and Ragan Edie; seven great-grandchildren, Payton, Carson, and Sawyer Lamb, Dale Horn, Drake Edie, Sidney and Cybil Blair. Jeanette was also preceded in death by a brother, Bill Wingo.There will be no services.
