Obituary

Jerry Wayne Clark, Sr., age 75, of Malvern, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the National Park Medical Center in Hot Springs with his family by his side. He was born in Winnsboro, Texas on August 3, 1937 to the late Louis Clark and Novel Shoemaker Clark. Reared and educated in Texas, Jerry had been a resident of Malvern since 1968. He retired with 21 years of service from Reynolds Rolling Mill. Jerry also had 30 years of military service with the United States Army and the Army National Guard. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Glendene Williams Clark of Malvern, to whom he was married on October 25, 1958 in Dallas, Texas; by his son, Reverend Wayne Clark and his wife Rynett of Conway, Arkansas; his daughters, Cindy Gray and her husband, Gary, and Jennifer Clark (John Silliman), all of Malvern; his grandchildren, Nichola and Natalie Clark, Bo Gray, and Cassidy and Sara Silliman.

Jerry was also preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Clark, and a sister, Joyce McClendon.

His funeral will be held at two o'clock Friday afternoon, May 31, 2013 in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church, Malvern, with Reverend LaVon Post officiating. Interment will follow, with full military honors, in Rockport Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Dr. Timothy Webb and staff, National Park Medical Center Staff, Charlie Brown, Cecil Burns, Terry Henson, Gene McCormick, Vernon Cessor, and his McDonalds coffee drinking buddies.

The family received friends from six until eight o'clock Thursday evening at J. A. Funk Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Malvern.
