Mr. Jim Lee Holmes, age 92 of Malvern, died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Arbor Oaks Health and Rehab. He was born on February 20, 1926 in Sparkman, Arkansas to the late Otis and Meautie Holmes. Reared and educated in Malvern, he was a retired pipeline foreman with Arkla Gas Company. Jim was Baptist and a United States Navy Veteran, having served during World War 2. He was the widower of the late Jane Anna McHenry Holmes, to whom he was married on October 13, 1951 in Malvern. She preceded him in death on September 2, 2015.

He is survived by his daughter, Jimmi Holmes Yarbrough and her husband, Jimmy of Malvern; by a grandson, James Yarbrough; a great-grandson, Noah Yarbrough; and by his siblings, Gladys Griffin of Paris, Tennessee, Homer Holmes of Malvern, Dorothy Tankersley of Dallas, Texas, Bill Holmes of Malvern, Walter Holmes of Dallas, Texas, and Judy Wallace and Mary Gibbs, both of Benton, Arkansas.

Jim was also preceded in death by a brother, Earnest Holmes, and a sister, Della Mae Draper.

Graveside services will be held on Monday afternoon, April 30, 2018 at two o'clock, in the Oak Ridge Cemetery with Brother Scott Efird officiating.
