Jimmy Briner, age 67 of Malvern, died Thursday, December 28, 2023 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, after a brief illness.  He was born in Malvern on October 1, 1956 to the late William Benjamin Briner and Bonnie Jean Cummings Briner.  Reared and educated in Malvern, he was a long-distance trucker for most of his working life.  Jimmy enjoyed hunting and fishing, and riding his motorcycle.  He loved his family and was a friend to many.

He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Busch (Jimmy) of Marked Tree, Arkansas, and Rachel Allen (Christopher) of Arlington, Tennessee; two brothers, Glen Briner (Dianne) of Hughes, Arkansas and Kenneth Nutt of Malvern; a sister, Teresa Lederer (Roger) of Malvern; a step-brother, Chuck Williams of Memphis; and by two grandchildren, Sara Busch and Jayden Allen.

A memorial service for Jimmy will be held at one o'clock Friday afternoon, January 5, 2024, in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Loyd Henson officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.
