Joe Jackson "Jack" Davis, age 92 of Malvern, died Sunday evening, March 1, 2015 in Arkadelphia. He was born in Malvern on November 20, 1922 to the late Clyde Franklin Davis and Pauline Clem Davis. His great-great-grandparents homesteaded in the Malvern area in 1848 and 1849. He moved with his family to southern California in 1938 and finished high school there. Jack returned to Malvern in 1945, working until his retirement in 1973 from Baroid, where he was a control lab supervisor. Jack was the widower of the late Erma Dell Schlenker Davis, to whom he was married on October 16, 1947. He loved horse racing and playing bridge. Jack was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by a brother, Robert Clem "Bob" Davis of Malvern, and by his nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held on the family plot in Oak Ridge Cemetery with Reverend Catherine Allsbury officiating, and under the direction on J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
