Obituary

Johnny Carroll Lewis, Sr., 73, of Anderson, SC passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Johnny was born November 22, 1947, in Benton, Arkansas, a son of the late James Edward Lewis and the late Floy E. Davis Lewis.

Johnny owned and operated Lewis Auto Sales in Pendleton, SC. He bought, overhauled, and sold cars for many years. After his retirement, his son, Johnny, Jr. continued operating the auto business. Johnny was then free to chase his hobby; bidding on and purchasing the contents of unpaid storage units. He became the "Storage Wars Entrepreneur". The treasures found in storage units were carefully displayed in a yard sale site, where he continued to barter and dicker over prices.

Johnny had a big heart and will sorely be missed by family and the many friends he has made over the years.

Left to cherish Johnny's memory, is son, Johnny Lewis, Jr., and his wife, Kate, Terry Stone, and Kathy Stone; grandchildren, Evan, Lucas, and Olivia; brothers, Kenneth Lewis, and Roy Lewis (Earlene); sisters, Susie St. John (Robert) and Geraldine Love; and former wife, Dorothy Van Blaricom.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 Saturday morning, October 2, 2021 in the chapel of J.A. Funk Funeral Home. Masks are required and social distancing is recommended.
