Joyce Matis Ouellette, age 76 of Malvern, died Tuesday, July 20, 2021, in Hot Springs.  She was born on September 2, 1944, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late John Matis and Mary Rogalinski Matis.  Reared and educated in Bridgeport, she graduated St. Cyril's parochial school.  She had been a resident of Malvern for 26 years.  Joyce was a homemaker and the wife of Daniel Ouellette, Sr., to whom she was married on October 27, 1962, in Brewster, New York.  She never met a stranger, was a wonderful cook, and doted on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Joyce was Catholic.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Ouellette; by two sons, Dan Ouellette and his wife, Tammy, and Jeffrey Ouellette; and a brother, Jack Matis, all of Malvern; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Danielle, Carissa (Asper), Shelby, and Charlie (Alysa); and by five great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Joyce was also preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Danielle Cole.

Her funeral service will be Saturday morning, July 24, 2021, at eleven o'clock in the chapel of J.A. Funk Funeral Home.  A visitation will precede the service by one hour, beginning at ten o'clock.  Interment will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be:  Bill Smith, Colton Gregory, Mathew Ward, Jack Matis, Jeffery Ouellette, and Charlie Cole.
