Juanita Marie Thomson, age 56 of Malvern, died at her residence on Friday, January 31, 2014. She was born in Mt. View, Arkansas on January 16, 1958 to the late Elbert Sanders and Emma Doty Sanders. Reared and educated in Stone and Lee Counties, she had been a resident of this area for 27 years. Mrs. Thomson was a CNA and had worked for Benton Health Care for a number of years. She was a member of Glen Rose Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband Jimmy Thomson, to whom she was married on October 16, 1983 in Mt. View, Arkansas; by her sons, Eric and his wife Valerie Thomson, and Patrick Thomson all of Malvern; by her grandsons, Jonathan, Jesse, Parker, and Wade; and her granddaughter, Chaimberlynn; by three sisters, Hallie Osborn (Paul) of Holland, Michigan, Lois Smith of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Wanda Vannatter (R. L.) of Mt. View, a brother-in-law, David Long of Bradford, Arkansas; and by many loving nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Truna Engle and Colleen Long.

The family will receive friends at J. A. Funk Funeral Home on Monday evening, February 3, 2014 from six until eight o'clock.

Her funeral will be at the graveside in Spring Creek Cemetery near Aubrey, Arkansas (Lee County) on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at two o'clock in the afternoon, with Brother Ian Kumpe officiating.

Pallbearers are: David Long, R. L. Vannatter, Tommy Vannatter, Patrick Thomson, Eric Thomson, and Christopher Woodruff.
