Judith Mae Westcott, age 62 of Malvern, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 in the Hot Spring County Medical Center. She was born in Duluth, Minnesota on June 1, 1948 to the late John Webster Norris and Elma Lillian Poysa Norris. Reared and educated in Minnesota, she had been a resident of Malvern since 1985. Judith's was a familiar and friendly face to many people in our town. She had worked at Malvern Graphics, then was cashier for a number of years at Safeway, Harvest Foods, Brookshire's, and Family Market. A true friend, Judith lived to help others. She was a faithful member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, serving on the Women's Missionary League. She loved to cook, especially baking, and would prepare a huge meal every Sunday. Judith was an avid gardener, did beautiful crocheting, and was fond of making crafts, particularly her candy cane reindeer. She was a volunteer at the Hot Spring County Medical Center, a member of the DAV, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was the widow of the late Lloyd Westcott, to whom she was married on May 1, 1975 in San Francisco, California. He preceded her in death on January 6, 2007.

She is survived by a son, John Westcott of Malvern; by a daughter, Shelly Struck of Wisconsin; by a daughter-in-law, Samantha Westcott of Benton; two sisters, Phyllis and Pamela Norris of Waukesha, Wisconsin; a brother, Dennis Norris of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; and a granddaughter, Kara Hunker.

Judith was also preceded in death by a son, Jeff Westcott in 2008.

Her funeral will be at eleven o'clock Monday morning, May 2, 2011 in the chapel of J. A. Funk Funeral Home with Pastor Henry Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Gilchrist Cemetery at Friendship.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from five until seven o'clock.
