Kay Davis Doddridge, age 73, of Malvern, died Wednesday evening, May 30, 2012. She was born in Sheridan , Arkansas on October 25, 1938 to the late James Earl Davis and Virginia Cash Davis. Reared and educated in Malvern, she was a banquet coordinator, a job she had enjoyed for 33 years. Kay loved animals, and was a lifetime board member of the Hot Spring County chapter of Stop Animal Cruelty, a rescue organization. She was also an avid gardener. Kay was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church . Along with her son, she was a volunteer at the local Community Thanksgiving and Christmas Meals every year since their inception.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Doddridge of Atlanta , Georgia ; her daughter Debbie Doddridge Atristain of Dallas , Texas ; three sisters, Earlene Whitley and Carolyn Selph, both of Malvern, and Pam Galloway of Alma , Arkansas ; three grandchildren, Abigail Shull, Federico Atristain and Chelsea Atristain; and three great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be at the graveside in Shadowlawn Cemetery on Saturday, June 2, 2012, at two o'clock in the afternoon, with Brother John Owen officiating. Arrangements are through J. A. Funk Funeral Home.
